An armed robbery in Imperial Thursday morning is under investigation by the Watrous RCMP.

Two suspects entered a financial institution on the 300 block of Royal Street in the town at around 11:20am and demanded cash where they made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

One suspect is described as being 6 feet tall with a slim build. The second suspect is described to be 5 feet six inches tall with a stalky build.

The suspects are both believed to be males with camouflage face masks. One man was wearing a red and black checked coat while the second was wearing a camouflage hooded jacket.

The Watrous RCMP set up road blocks around the community for a portion of the day but they have now been removed.
