Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan's Central unit will be out on Friday and Saturday, patrolling for impaired drivers.

The CTSS says that they are focusing on the Humboldt and Wakaw areas for the weekend, with increased attention on drivers under the influence.

As such, there will be a higher police presence, as well as check stops on highways surrounding communities in and around the area.

On October 15, police in Humboldt stopped over 100 vehicles for a check on impaired drivers and were pleased to find no one driving drunk.
