The intersection of Highway 35 and Highway 335 will undergo changes after the Broncos bus crash on April 6th.

It was Wednesday afternoon when the final report of the intersection was released by the Government of Saskatchewan.

The report goes over 13 different recommendations to improve the safety of the intersection. Saskatchewan's Government announced they will go through with all the recommendations.

Recommendations include:

 1. Clear anything obstructing the sight of drivers around the railway crossings.

2. Removing trees from the southeast corner of the intersection.

3. Altering the position of the railway crossing signs.

4. Removal of a gravel road.

5. A safer roadside access to the memorial of the crash.

6. The access to the grain elevator from Hwy 35 to Hwy 335 realigned with the roadside memorial access as the road could cause confusion.

7. Signs raised to improve sight lines.

8. Change road lanes so passing will not be allowed near the intersection.

9. Various sign relocation to enhance stop controls to help drivers when sun glare is bad.

10. Changing the placement and content of the signs.

11. Realign overhead power lines.

12. Install larger stop and stop ahead signs.

13. Stop and stop ahead messages on the pavement.

Another recommendation that is being presented is the highway will be widened. The total cost for all the changes is estimated at $1 million.

The provincial government is hopeful all the changes will be completed by the end of 2019.
