The HumboldtStrong Community Foundation has been working hard to help those who were all affected by the Humboldt Broncos tragedy on April 6th.

By the end of January, the HumboldtStrong Community Foundation hopes to be in full force along with the help of the foundation's 12 directors.

The foundation is in the works of not only helping the families of those involved in the bus crash but also first responders, communities, and other organizations affected by the crash. A strategy of how the money is being split up and where it is going exactly is undecided so far.

"We've got some work to do in regards to what our short, mid, and long-term goals are. The families (of the victims) are of course part of the short-term goals as we are figuring out how we can support them, how can we provide them with what it is they need," said Darrin Duell, Chair of the Foundation.

First responders, the Humboldt Broncos Hockey team, communities, and others affected by the accident will be provided with support from the HSCF after the families of the victims have been aided first.
