A brand new business has officially planted roots in Humboldt.

Lube Stop opened its doors on Friday with a grand opening reception at their location on Highway 5 West.

The Humboldt location is the company's fourth in Saskatchewan, joining one in Saskatoon and two in Regina.

"We're very thankful that our community of Humboldt is what it is. This is a diamond in the rough," President Ricardo Marcil said at Friday's grand opening.

Lube Stop is a full lube service business which offers oil changes, fluid testing, cooling systems, air filtration, drivetrains, electrical systems, and tire service.

Mayor Rob Muench attended the ceremony, noting the company's work for turning a vacant building into a brand new business, and for adding to a growing west side.

"This end of the city is benefitting from it, and there is a bunch of other developments going on here. This is going to be a nice hub of activity in our city."

Muench noted the new Humboldt Smiles Dental Clinic, which is under renovation, as well as the recently opened No Frills as projects in the immediate area.

Humboldt-Watrous MLA Donna Harpauer and Chamber of Commerce Vice President Dan Torwalt also shared words at Friday's opening.

A free lunch was offered to those in attendance at Friday's grand opening of Lube Stop.
