The Humboldt Summer Sizzler is making its return to Humboldt this June.

The Sizzler will kick off with a Pancake breakfast and Sizzler Strut on June 12th.

Humboldt Events Manager Mike Ulriksen explains what the schedule looks like this year.

"Wednesday, June 15th we're going to have a big kick-off concert down at Civic Park. A way to just get everyone in the mood. We got Chris Culgin coming in for a concert, Art Humboldt is doing a bar-be-que. Just an official way (to start). We've never done it before so we just thought 'oh, let's do an official kick-off concert.' In addition to that, the Sizzler Strut has actually moved to the Sunday prior to Sizzler this year. So June 12th, the Sizzler Strut will unofficially kick-off the Sizzler. So when you look at it we have six days this year instead of four."

Ulriksen tells us about more big attractions coming to Humboldt that week.

"We've got some ball tournaments happening. Both the Boys bantams and the Girls Softball are both going to have league playoffs that weekend. As for attractions, I think the one I'm really excited about is our strong-man competition. So it's a Saskatchewan Amateur Strong-man competition, there's only two of these events, and then the top out of all of them qualify for Provincials so it's going to be the strongest men of all of Saskatchewan coming out for this event."

The Sizzler will also include Midway rides, a strong man competition, and concerts.

The Summer Sizzler runs from Wednesday the 15th to Sunday the 19th, kicking off with the Sizzler Strut taking place of the 12th.
