More data from the 2016 Census has come out, revealing a slightly younger population in Humboldt.

The average age for residents in the city is 44 according to the latest statistics from the federal government. Following the 2011 Census, it was revealed that the average age was 45.2.

There are 120 more kids in the 0 to 14 age range in the city than five years ago, with the highest increase from all ages coming in the 5 to 9 range, with a rise of 75 kids.

Across Saskatchewan, a younger population appears to be trending, as the province was only one of three to see more 'millennials' than 'baby boomers'.

The largest decrease came in adults age 45 to 49. That number dropped by 85.
