Environment Canada has been calling for serious rain in our area.

Sunday night was just the beginning of a long next 48 hours of precipitation.

With streets full of water, many motorists had to not only slow down for the water, but even wildlife swimming in the streets and ditches.

Sidewalks disappeared and became just part of the miniature body of water, giving some residents unwanted "Lake Side Property."

Reports of anywhere from two to three inches hit Humboldt in a span of under an hour.

A rainfall warning was issued for the area as of 4:30am Monday, with anywhere up to - and perhaps past - 100 millimetres of rain expected to fall.
