The Humboldt and District Museum is offering residents a chance to go to the water tower and take some photos Wednesday.

The photography session, open to any amateur or professional begins at 1:30 and will last about two hours.

Cultural Programmer Leah Terry said this event is something the public has brought forward.

"We will be going to the top and allowing people to spent some time up there taking pictures of the scenery and also inside of the staircase. We have had a number of requests from people asking to spend more time in the water tower, it's a great place."

They have it limited at nine people so they ask that you pre-register, you can do so by calling 682-5226 or visit their Facebook page, just search Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery and send them a message.

"It's a beautiful view of Humboldt," Terry continued. "We were hoping it would be an autumn photography session but it might be a winter photography session but nevertheless it's still a great view."

She did add that you don't need a big expensive camera to get that perfect shot.

"Oh for sure, I take pictures with my cell phone and I think they look pretty nice, so anybody with a cell phone, a camera, whatever you have bring it along."

The cost is $10.
