'Hello In There/Hello Out There' exhibit has been on since Monday and this Friday and Saturday there will be an artist talk and workshop that coincides with the exhibit.

Project artist Chrystene Ells will speak at 7pm Friday night at the museum, the workshop follows on Saturday from 1-4pm.

Museum Cultural Programmer, Leah Terry explained where the idea for this exhibit came from.

"It was created with Common Weal Community Arts in Regina, they were involved with creating this exhibit and it's definitely to bring the community together and get the voices of seniors in Saskatchewan out there."

The exhibit is a compilation of three dimensional artworks created by senior citizens in retirement homes in Saskatchewan.

Anyone can attend the workshop said Terry, "it really is a family workshop, we're encouraging senior members to attend but certainly it's open to all age groups even children."

Anyone who attends are encouraged to bring a senior family member to begin the process of making a memory journal. Participants will also create a unique memory collage or other visual art piece around memory.

Call the museum at 682-5226 to pre-register.

Archives week runs at the museum from the 7th to the 13th with an open house on Tuesday.
