The Humboldt Minor Hockey Association needs more board members for the upcoming season.

“We could use a few extra people,” secretary Jason Holtvogt said.

Fifteen of 17 spots on the board are currently filled, but four to six people will be leaving this year, he said.

Prospective board members need only a good attitude towards minor hockey - having a child in the sport isn’t necessary.

“A lot of our jobs are reps for different divisions, and people to help out with the organization of the board.”

The board’s annual general meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 5 at the Youth Room beside Jubilee Hall at 7 p.m.

The board will be repealing and replacing its bylaws and operating regulations, which haven’t been updated for some time.

“It better details how we handle our hockey operations,” Holtvogt said.
