Remembrance Day in Humboldt was a solemn one, with reverence for those fallen long ago.

On Sunday, November 11th, Humboldt held it's Remembrance Day service. It was held at St. Augustines Church, services started at 2:00. This remembrance day marked 100 years since the end of WWI and was commemorated as such; services this year included messages from Humboldt's Mayor Rob Muench, Humboldt MLA Representative Ms. Donna Harpauer, as well as Humboldt MP Ms. Kelly Block.

Presider of the services was none other than Humboldt's own Padre Reverend Al Hingley. Hingley has been an active member in Humboldt's military heritage community, overseeing the military museum in the Humboldt Legion. The service saw many songs performed by local artists and musicians, as well as readings and speeches from local pastors and reverends. There was a collection throughout the service, with all proceeds going back to the Humboldt Legion.

This remembrance day was one of somber reflection, for the memory of those Humboldt has lost fighting for our freedom as Canadians so long ago.
