Registration is quickly approaching for anyone interested in leaving a lasting legacy in Humboldt via a four inch square.

The Humboldt Murals Committee is one of the fortunate groups to get a mural to help celebrate the 150th birthday of Canada.

Administration Clerk at the Humboldt Museum, Christine Stumborg explains more.

"What we are doing here at the gallery with the Murals Committee is we are asking people to come out and we need their help to do a four inch square tile that we are going to join with 749 other tiles to create Humboldt's mural."

The days they are doing this are Friday, June 17th and the 18th with the installation being that Sunday.

"We have spots filling up fast," Stumborg continued. "We've also gotten involved with the schools, students have come down and painted some tiles, Futuristic Industries has come down and helped us out, we still have spots open."

Stumborg talks about how excited they are that two monumental legends of the city in Glenn Hall and Lyndon Rush take part.

"We are so excited that they actually jumped on board, they were super excited that we asked them to join in on this mural. It's getting word around, it helps us with getting the word out."
