The driving range is open for business, and if all goes according to plan, the Humboldt Golf Club will have its eighteen holes open on Friday, April 19.

The news comes from General Manager Corey Schweitzer following a consultation with his staff. Schweitzer says, "The golf course is looking great. The superintendent has had his guys out all last week getting things ready. The greens are looking great."

After a long and particularly cold stretch in the late winter, one might worry about some winterkill damage, but Schweitzer says that's not the case. "Looks like everything went through well. There's no ice damage and very little snow mould damage on the course. Everything wintered just great."

As for opening day, Schweitzer says, "It looks like the weather will be favourable, and we expect to have the course ready to go Friday morning."

The golf club should be taking bookings for Friday on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 16th.
