The Humboldt Co-op continued their 80th Anniversary celebration by selling chili dogs on Friday night.

Blair Molsberry is the General manager for Humboldt Co-op.

He talks about what is still to come for 80th anniversary celebrations.

"Double scratch and save day here at the food store and in Lanigan, we're also going to have a buy $80 and get a $5 gift card, up to the first $400 in purchases. And we have got 5 cents per litre being donated to a chairty in town, we're not sure what one quite yet, bu that's going to be at the gas bar one of the days during the week too, and then to top it all off, November/December we're going to start getting people entered in to win our $8,000 trip give away, and that's going to be a $6,500 travel voucher with $1,500 cash."

Ed Gainey and Tyler Crapigna from the Saskatchewan Roughriders were in attendance signing autographs and taking pictures with fans.

Molsberry says having a couple of the Saskatchewan Roughriders there to sign autographs really helped.

"It is a great time, the RIders are 2-0 in their last 2 games here, There's a little bit of excitement again. It's great to have them here, it's part of Federated Co-op's deal with our Gameday Approved products. The Riders come out, they like to work with the Co-op's, we're working with them all throughout the western Canada, all the western teams."

Molsberry explains giving back to the community is a big part of what the Co-op does.

"The Co-op is community minded, that is one of our values, so we want to do what we can. We're community owned, everybody in town that's a member, is a part-owner, and they're a part of this community. We love to do what we can to help the community, and bringing the Riders, helping out the Food bank, working with the FCC with that, that's a core foundation for us, we're going to continue to do that."
