It was a smoky, breezy, but warm day at the Humboldt Golf Course, but you know what they say, the show must go on.

The Humboldt Broncos Memorial Golf tournament took place on Saturday. Organizers and volunteers were up bright and early to set up for the tournament. Two Auctions were available, including a silent auction and live auction. Over 30 prizes were available for the silent auction and the live auction consisted of 10 prizes. Brian Munz, the Play-by-Play announcer for the Winnipeg Jets and one of the organizers of the tournament said the prize money is going towards the Broncos.

"We've got a number of NHL jerseys, number of NFL, NBA, you know sports things that people wanted to be involved with and give to the Broncos to make sure they get back on their feet and have success early on starting the season."

Munz made it clear that this event was not only to get the community together but also to come together to grieve as well as heal as a community. The Winnipeg Play-by-Play commentator said that the response him Lorrie Warford and Jared Bednar got for putting on the golf was unbelievable.

"That's probably the best way for me to describe it, is whether Jared was on the phone or I was on the phone or we just sent a text to a lot of people whether it was people in sports or people in town, as soon as you, 'Hey we are starting to do..' and then right away they knew what you were doing, so they're like, 'How can we help, what can we donate.'"
