Since 1995, the Humboldt Knights of Columbus have been helping along equipment needs at the hospital.

On Thursday, they made another donation in the form of $2,000 to the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation.

"That was all from our weekly bingos we have Monday night," said Knight Fred Staniec.

The latest donation to the foundation brought the 21 year total to $63,407.21. Staniec says that supporting health care is crucial.

"It's very important. We need the hospital here badly. The more we can give, the better it is for everything."

Executive Director of the HDHF, Lorrie Bunko, says that for a non-profit to continue funding other organizations is quite humbling.

"They have made a big impact to our health care. They're another organization that relies on donated funds," she noted.

"They work very hard too, to receive those dollars, and then to go out and support the community."
