The Horizon School Division recently released its 2017-2018 year-end report with some great highlights.

Kevin Garinger, Director of Education, talks about one of them being literacy.

"As we report grade three, we have seen that our grade three results are sitting at 77.3% overall. Which we're extremely proud of and we're heading in that direction of trying to getting to a place where we can meet that goal of 80% that the province has for 2020."

The Horizon School Division sits about 10th out of 27 Divisions when looking at literacy rates in the province.

Horizon School Division also has maintained their graduation rates over the last four years.

"Our Graduation rates have seen an increase over the last four years and this year they remained pretty static at where they've been in the past. We continue to be proud of the number of students who graduate on time."
