HCI is one of the schools who recently paid tribute to La Loche.

Nine days following the tragic news of a shooting in La Loche, support continues to pour in for the community.

The Horizon School Division paid respect to those lost in the shooting through a moment of silence organized across the province by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations.

"I want to express our deepest condolences to the families of those who were tragically killed in La Loche," stated Director of Education for the Horizon School Division, Kevin Garinger.

"We are all grieving as a province, as a country, and certainly within Horizon School Division we grieve the losses of our children and colleagues."

Expressing the country's engagement in La Loche, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau arrived in the community on Friday afternoon with Premier Brad Wall.

Marie Janvier, the 21-year-old teacher's aide was the first of the four victims to be laid to rest at a ceremony held Saturday.
