After months of hard negotiations, Horizon School division and CUPE have reached an agreement to vote on.

A process called "Interest-Based Bargaining" was used in order to make sure a deal could be made with both sides receiving what they would want.

The new deal took around 6 months to complete, with meetings starting in the first week of December.

Support staff in the Horizon School Division will be able to vote on June 6th on whether or not the new collective bargaining agreement is a good deal.

While the Vote for both the union members will take place June 6th, the school board will cast their ballots on June 8th.

The two sides have been without an agreement since August of 2015.
