The Bruno Rink has a plan set up to put artificial ice in the facility and Horizon Fertilizer is trying to do their part to help.

Horizon Fertilizer has been nominated for the Adama Thank a Retailer Contest by one of their customers, and if successful would give the $15,000 prize back into the community to the Bruno Rink.

"Adama is one of our product manufacturers. The program is designed to reward an outstanding local ag retail with $15,000 to be put towards a local cause of their choice. We would like to give that money back to the Bruno artificial ice project. The Town of Bruno and the Bruno Rink wanted to keep and support all of their local teams and provide them with safe and reliable ice. The upgrade to artificial ice would allow them to utilize the rink for the greater part of the year and make conditions inside the rink safer and more enjoyable for everybody," said Chris Yungmann, Manager at Horizon Fertilizer.

People can vote for Horizon Fertilizer and the Bruno Rink online at  https://www.thankaretailer.ca

"It's a points-based competition. If you go to the website there are little mini-games that can be played to earn points. There are also bonus points that can be earned through various social media sites and can also be earned through industry events such as the crop production show taking place this week in Saskatoon."

Voting is open until February, 13th.
