Wrapping paper and all the other joys of the Christmas season will soon clutter up your garbage space.

Residents perhaps wondering how quickly they can dispose of their Christmas clutter will want to note hours for REACT during the holidays.

The landfill will be closed on both Christmas and Boxing Day, re-opening for normal hours from December 27 to 29. During that time, the city's curbside collection will remain on its regular schedule as well.

On New Year's Day, the landfill will once again be closed, with hours resuming starting Tuesday, January 2.

REACT notes that residents should have their garbage/recycling out on the curb before 7:00am to ensure pickup.
