Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for parts of central and southern Saskatchewan, including the RM of Three Lakes and the RM Lake Lenore.

Heat warnings are issued when high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

A period with maximum daily temperatures reaching at least 29 degrees and minimum overnight temperatures near 14 degrees is expected today and tomorrow, Environment Canada says.

The agency recommends people consider rescheduling outdoor activities to cooler hours of the day, take frequent breaks from the heat and drink plenty of water.
