An upper ridge building in from the west will bring hot weather for much of this week, with temperatures near or exceeding the heat warning threshold.

Extreme heat affects everyone.

  • heat exhaustion
  • heatstroke

Drink plenty of water and stay in a cool place. Check on older family, friends, and neighbors. Make sure to provide suitable shade and hydration for pets.

Combined with the humidex, the affected areas could reach temperatures of 38-40 degrees Celcius throughout the next few days.
