The Humboldt District Hospital Foundation received a donation this morning.

Lorrie Bunko accepted a check of $8,593 on behalf of the HDHF at Tim Hortons at 10 AM.

Tim Horton's runs the Smile Cookie Campaign every year with the funds going towards a local cause in the community. Each cookie is sold for 1 dollar with every nickel going towards a good cause. This is the 6th consecutive year Tims has donated the money to the HDHF.

"It's a tremendous boost to our equipment needs and we've been seeing those benefits already this year. We are able to purchase these priority equipment pieces and get that list achieved because we have some really big stuff we need to raise for," Said Lorrie Bunko, executive director of the HDHF.

Over the last 6 years, The Smile Cookie Campaign raised over $35,000 for the HDHF as this year was the highest total ever raised.
