The Humboldt and District Health Foundation will be hosting their annual Have a Heart Walk and Run this Sunday.

The event offers a 5km and a 10km walk or run, and a 10km bike within the City of Humboldt.

Lorrie Bunko, Executive Director for the HDHF says they are raising money for a bariatric bed.

"It has a built in scale, it has a walk out option. It's just a very nice bed for those who require those types of beds, it's for patient safety and for staff safety."

This year's run has a theme according to Bunko, "we're just asking people to use their minds, whether its just putting on some denim or a hat or coveralls or if you want to dress up as that scarecrow, whatever. We're looking forward to seeing some creativity with the harvest theme."

The 10kmrun starts at the Bella Vista Inn on Sunday morning at 9am, at 9:15 the 5km will begin, and the 10km bike will start at 9:30am.

The cost is $30 and adult, $25 for students or there is the option of collecting pledges.

Online registration for the is taking place until midnight on Friday.
