This Saturday and Sunday the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce is packing the Uniplex with close to 100 vendors for their annual fall tradeshow.

The two day event begins at 10 o'clock Saturday and goes until 6pm, the hours on Sunday are 11am-5pm.

"We have businesses from around the region coming out to showcase their products and their services," explained Executive Director Crystal Young. "Some businesses that we never knew existed in the region, sometimes we tend to go so far to find a product or a service because we assume it's not here. You guys are going to be amazed at the kind of products we have coming out of the region."

There will be home based businesses, large and small scale businesses as well as others. They also have something new this year that perhaps leans more towards men attending the event.

"We have a few breweries that wanted to bring their product out here to the Humboldt region," Young described of their lounge. "They're are going to be there, you are going to be able to sample their product and purchase their product and hopefully relax in a comfortable environment sponsored by The Brick. Watch a game, have a good time and interact and network with some old friends."

She also talked about some local non-profit groups that will be on hand more so to share their services rather than sell you something.

"We have a variety of our financial services organizations that's going to be there, our not-for-profit organizations like PARTNERS. We also have the Hospital Foundation that's going to be there, we have one of our newest members, Lifesavers Inc. She is going to be there showcasing some of her products and services. I think it's important that we all know how to first aid so visiting those types of booths and getting that information is going to be really great."

Also new this year will be a booth manned by the Chamber itself that will allow you to nominate businesses for their annual Mark of Excellence Awards that will take place in March.

There is no charge for admission.
