Six local students represented Humboldt Collegiate Institue at the Saskatchewan Business Case Study Competition in Saskatoon last Thursday and Friday.

The competition helps the students get prepared for post-secondary school and real-life decision making, HCI teacher Paul Raycroft says.

"In three hours they have to solve a problem, that either is in the financial literacy area or the entrepreneurship area. In three hours they have to identify the problem, analyze it, come up with solutions, recommendations, an implementation plan, and present it to a panel of judges."

Adam Eichorst, Joel Zimroz, and Desirae Therres placed third in personal finance, while Justin Berscheid, Tyson Laduke, and Brandon Stumborg placed sixth in the Entrepreneurship Case.

Overall, HCI placed 3rd in Business School of the year and placed 4th in the Social Award.
