This past Sunday night, for the third year in a row Hank's Tavern in Bradwell is the Saskatchewan Country Music Association's Nightclub of the Year award winner.

Owner Hank Ukrainetz says you never get tired of being recognized for hard work.

"I cried just as much as I did when I got the first one," she said on Tuesday afternoon. "It's not that it gets old, I didn't think I would get it for three years in a row."

She contributes the honour to her continued support of local and national musicians, not just in her establishment but other live music venues as well.

Ukrainetz says she couldn't do it without the support of music lovers, and not just the country genre.

"It's kind of surreal for a small town of 225 people that we can get the crowds that we do. When we bring out The Trews, Big Sugar, One Bad Son, Cody Prevost brings a huge crowd, a huge crowd. Brock Andrews, because he is from the local area here as well."

What makes the accomplishment more impressive, Ukrainietz doesn't make a living off the bands and the shows, she has a full time job with Mosaic Company and operates her establishment on a part time basis with approximately ten workers who she calls her family and "one big team."

"It's a tough industry and it's a tough industry for the musicians as well. It costs them a lot of money, it costs me a lot of money, it takes everyone working together and everyone just breaks even. That's pretty much what it boils down to."

This year the SCMA held their awards weekend in Saskatoon.
