Progress in harvesting the 2016 crop was among the highest in the Humboldt area over the last week.

Thirty-three percent has now been combined with 51% swathed or ready to straight-cut, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report.

That is slightly above the five-year average of 30% complete. Progress was tied with the west-central area for the highest in Saskatchewan over the seven-day period.

Across the province, 38% of the crop is in the bin, with an additional 38% swathed or ready to cut.

The five-year average provincially, is 44%.

Crop damage this week has been attributed to wet harvest weather, was some flooding in areas lingering. Downgrading in wheat is mostly due to fusarium.
