As arid weather conditions continue, harvest is well underway.

The Saskatchewan crop report states "The majority of the province received little to no rainfall this past week, although the Pierceland area reported 89mm. Many areas in the northwest are saturated and field access will be an issue"

According to the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture's latest crop report, 15% of the province's crop is swathed or ready to be straight cut; 14% is now in the bin, much higher than the 8% average from the past five years.

The southwest part of the province is the furthest ahead at 30%, the southeast trails just behind at 23%.

Additionally, SaskPower has issued a reminder to farmers to be careful when operating equipment near power lines, as there were 12 reports of machinery contacting power lines, four of them came in the last week.
