Hank's Tavern in Bradwell is up for a second nightclub of the year award at the Saskatchewan Country Music Awards.

The tavern was able to bring home the hardware last year and is hopeful to do so again.

A long list of SCMA nominees will perform throughout three different nights in April at the small town establishment leading up to the awards on the 23rd in Saskatoon.

Owner Hank Ukrainetz said all of the proceeds raised go towards the actual awards event.

"The fundraising committee approached me and asked if they could use Hank's Tavern as their venue to promote the artists and of course I said yes, so it's gonna be a busy three days that all of those artists will be coming out to perform."

The first two night's of the 'Taste of the SCMA's' event is this Friday and Saturday, night number 3 will take place the following Saturday.

On Friday, Malusi & Bukhosi Mabeleka, Ray Whitton, Amanda Hagel, Lexi T, Alex Runions, Aces Wyld, and Brody Siebert will all perform.

Roland Corrigal, Jackie Guy, Lane Shields, Jessie Weiman, Lexi T, and Aces Wyld will hit the stage on Saturday.

April 16th will feature Jodi Faith, Doug Sylvestor, Arron Rigden, Scott Patrick from Wyatt, Brock Andrews, and Samara Yung.

Tickets are available at the door for the Taste of the SCMA nights and are on a first come, first serve basis.

Ukrainetz's support for local talent has prompted some bigger names to perform in her bar, "One Bad Son has been out I think three or four times and Big Sugar has been out twice, that has been our biggest one and so that was quite a highlight to have them come once never mind come back again."

Promoting and supporting upcoming artists is something Ukrainetz has always made a priority throughout her life, and throughout the six years she has been a bar owner.
