Colleen Lessmeister had no expectations when her business started selling decals to raise money for the Humboldt Broncos in the days following the April bus crash.

The support turned out to be "overwhelming," as Graphic Ad got orders from as far away as Ontario and Illinois, she said.

They ended up selling around 5,000 Humboldt Strong helmet stickers.

“It was incredible. I think lots of the businesses here in town feel the same way about the people that had called from everywhere in the first couple weeks. There were phone calls from everywhere and everybody just said, ‘we’re thinking about you’ and it’s just amazing.”

Lessmeister presented the company's $23,400 in profits from the decals to Humboldt Broncos president Kevin Garinger on Friday.

“It means a lot," Garinger said. "It’s from our community and it’s from one of our partners in the community and so it means a great deal for us to be able to use those funds to help support the work that we need to do in moving our organization forward.”
