Adam Eichorst, a grade 12 student at HCI, says it was "shocking and mind-blowing" to hear that he made it to the top three in a photography competition.

The 20th annual Skills Competition took place on April 12th & 13th in Regina, with hundreds of young adults competing in various disciplines and skills.

He gained a competitive edge when he decided to take photos that captured the first day's events.

"Going out throughout the day, I (was) trying to capture people in the skills and trying to promote the skills through my photos," Eichorst explains.

Eichorst says he felt proud when he heard that his photographs landed him the bronze in his category, as he notes he was faced with "very tough competition".
