Seeds is the focus Sunday as the Humboldt Gathering Place plays host to the 2nd annual Seedy Sunday.

Seed vendors, presentations, food sharing and a seed swap table are just a few of the activities happening at the event.

Organizer Rachelle Ternier said each Seedy Sunday runs a little different than others.

She gave us the run down for the Humboldt event.

"We decided that it would be great to get people together, have speakers in the afternoon, kids activities and such and then we even have a documentary film, and a potluck supper afterwards."

It is a come and go event but people are also encouraged to stay for the full day.

Expo tables will be set up from 1-4pm, a documentary film will be played at 4:30pm, the day wraps up with the potluck supper at 6.

"In Vancouver was the first one in Canada and now across the country there are probably over 140- 150 events between January and April when everyone is thinking about spring and gardening," explained Ternier.

Speakers featured at the event will be Leane Harasymchuk, Dr. Megan Parker, Elizabeth Bekolay, and Dallas Kessler.

Admission is just a silver collection at the door.
