Residents of Saskatchewan are well aware of the low oil prices these days but as a result gas prices have been lower recently.

That being said, according to Jason Toews, Co-Founder of Gasbuddy.com it is not uncommon to have low prices for this time of year.

"Some of our winter even into January we usually see fairly low gas prices but what I'm expecting to see after we see some decreases over the next few weeks in the oprice of gas, I'm expecting to see gas prices go back up again."

The price per litre in Humboldt varies from 86-point-nine cents up to 89-point-nine.

"Right now the average in Saskatchewan is 87 cents a litre, I wouldn't be surprised to see it go down another 4 or 5 cents a litre, it could possibly go down into the 70's it might be a bit of a stretch but it could get there," said Toews.

Toews added, he forecasts gas prices to climb well above a dollar per litre this summer.
