The new spray park in Wakaw is one step closer to being paid off after a $1339 donation.

Yesterday the total amount of money raised from Fuel Good Days came into Wakaw to go towards the water park. The check was received by Rita Goller Varga, Lion's Club president, and Steven Skoworodko, spray park committee and Mayor of Wakaw.

Fuel Good Days is a fundraiser run through Co-op where 10 cents of every litre sold goes towards a community project or cause. In this case, the money is going towards the spray park in Wakaw.

"Anytime we can get a sponsor to donate like this to us we appreciate it and again it's just that community involvement, you know small town community, we appreciate the co-op and all our sponsors that have donated to date," said Wakaw's Mayor, Steven Skoworodko.

The total cost of the spray park was a total of $200,000. Currently, the town of Wakaw has raised $125 000.
