A former substitute teacher in Watrous is set to learn whether she'll keep her teaching certificate following a Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation hearing that was held in Saskatoon.

30 year-old Erin Osmond was charged with sexual exploitation last year because of an affair she began with a 16 year-old student. She was found not guilty in May of 2015.

Even though the court heard the two had kissed while Osmond was his teacher, Osmond told the court they did not pursue a sexual relationship until after the teaching contract in Watrous had ended.

While delivering the aquittal, the judge agreed that the relationship was inappropriate, but not illegal.

The boy was of age to consent.
