The Humboldt Food Bank is looking for extra donations for the holiday season.

Until December 24th, anyone can drop off food or monetary donations at the Humboldt Food Bank and numerous drop off points in Humboldt.

The food bank is looking to those in need of this holiday season. It's confirmed that nearly half of Canadians know someone who has visited the food bank, up 40 percent from 6 years ago.

"If you're really struggling with income food expenses, it's so important to have enough food at Christmas time and be able to celebrate with your family," said Kevin Reiter Chairman of the Humboldt District Food Bank.

People are encouraged to donate nutritious nonperishable food items, baby food, and money to help those in need this season.
