The food bank in Humboldt is to receive a generous donation of more than 20 thousand dollars.

It all started on September 7th at the Olymel facility in Humboldt as people in the local area enjoyed a burger or hot dog for 5 dollars.

Every nickel of the money raised is going towards the Humboldt food bank as Olymel has run multiple different of fundraisers in the community and in the office for those in need of food.

"We had a bunch of food catered and did up ribs and brought 12 farmers deliveries into the field, they had to pay $1000 for this meal as it fed 15 people," said Lorrie Rowat, from Human Resources at Olymel.

A 50/50 draw is taking place throughout the office with the money going towards the food bank as well. As for the BBQ, 300 people arrived on September 7th for a fantastic lunch.
