The Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery are wondering what makes up the city's folklore.

Wednesday night an event at the Gallery will search for simply just that with help from Heritage Saskatchewan Development Officer Kristin Catherwood.

Supervisor Jean Price provides more details.

"Kristin works with things that make communities special but aren't physical objects so stories or songs or traditions. Things that we would have a bit different here that they might not have in another community. She is going to do a workshop on how we can explore those things and then use them in our community."

Price adds you will have a chance to bring your own ideas of what makes up Humboldt's folklore.

"She's going to lead us through some activities and then there will also be some opportunities to share your own ideas about what you think some of the intangible cultural heritage of Humboldt is and how we will be able to carry those ideas forward."

The event is free of charge, it begins at seven o'clock, doors are open at 6:30.
