The Government of Saskatchewan has placed a fire ban on the majority of the province.

The ban stretches from the Church Hill River south to the United States border.

The ban is due to the dry weather we have been experiencing. The ban covers Crown land, most provincial parks, recreation sites and burn notification areas.

There have already been several wildfires in Saskatchewan causing the air in the Humboldt area to be hazy and smell of smoke.
