The final week of the annual music festival has arrived.

This week consists of a three day long event.

Patti Durand the president tells us what the week focus is.

"A variety of vocal events, primarily singing, and there is some limited speech arts, which is poetry. In singing there are solos, duets, trios, and choral ensembles, so there is quite a variety to experience."

If you can only attend a few of the nights, Monday or Wednesday are the nights to go, they feature music theater pieces.

Durand talks about the theater nights, "all of the performers will have songs that are either from again different, musical theater pieces, and so it's very entertaining. They are generally in costume, they generally do some acting as part of the performance, and its certainly a crowd pleaser."

The week also has a bit of speech arts which is very near and dear to Durand's heart.

"The act of reciting poetry, it takes into account the particular message of the poem, the art of spoken work. It varies in popularity from year to year, but it something that is near and dear to my heart and something that is interesting to see."

The last week wraps up on Wednesday and then a grand finale concert on May 1st.

Durand wants to invite everyone to the final concert.

"The adjudicators make recommendations for which of the performers were of note and worthy of both scholarships and opportunity to perform in our final concert. We showcase the best of the festival on Sunday May 3 at 2pm. [I] Highly recommend people come out to Marysburg Assumption Church to see that."
