The weather on August 4th seemed it wasn't going to cooperate with any of the events taking place in Humboldt and surrounding area. Although the rain held off for the Water Tower Family Day here in Humboldt.

"We want people to just come out and enjoy the nice day, as it turns out, it's a very nice day today. We had our fingers crossed and mother nature came through," said Katherine Harrison, the Cultural programmer with the museum.

Visitors could enjoy an interpretive tour of the water tower with a $5 dollar admission for adults and a $3 dollar admission for children. The money raked in on family day is going towards the upkeep of the water tower.

Adults could enjoy a picnic, while children took part in games such as ring toss, bean bag toss, sack races, etc. Cookies and juice were also available for purchase.
