For the third time in a year, voters are heading to the polls in Saskatchewan.

This time, it is for all local dealings, as Civic, RM, and School Board elections occur.

Returning Officer in Humboldt, Mike Ulriksen says there are three places to vote in the city.

"All polls will run from 9AM right through to 8PM. We have three polls set-up. The first poll is at the Uniplex, the second poll is at St. Augustine Hall and the third is at the Royal Canadian Legion," he explained. "We've broken it down into three sections in town so everyone can get to the one that is closest to them."

"We kinda want to keep people in their own location just to make sure votes are even and our election workers aren't overly busy in one and barely busy in another. Having said that, if you show up to any poll, you are going to get to vote."

Voting in municipal elections is as easy as grabbing your ID and signing a paper, added Ulriksen.

"The nice thing is we don't have voter registration cards like you get in the mail for federal and provincial. It's just a quick form we fill out when you get there, a couple checkmarks and your signature," he said. "Also, we need identification, so that is your government issued ID that has your home address."

"If you don't have (government issued ID), what we require is two pieces of identification with your name on it, and one that shows where your physical address is here in Humboldt."

Voters must be atleast 18 years of age.

While not the case in Humboldt, other centres will have a chance to vote for school board members as well. Humboldt's trustee, Linda Mattock, was acclaimed due to being the only nominee.

We will provide updated results once polls close.
