A man charged in the death of a dog in December 2016 was back in court on Tuesday.

Calyb Hoffman, 19, is facing two new assault allegations, to which he pleaded not guilty. He also has two charges of breaching his Conditional Sentencing Order.

In March, Hoffman pleaded guilty to charges of injuring and endangering an animal. He was handed a six month conditional sentence, one year of probation, and was banned from owning an animal.

Hoffman was placed back into custody until his next court appearance on June 29, which will be his trial for the latest charges.
