After school was cancelled in Humboldt on Monday the kids returned to class yesterday around the city.

At Humboldt Public School, Principal Clayton Parobeck was pleased with how it rolled out.

"We've had a great day here.  Yesterday was very positive with regards to the staff getting together and making a plan to support our students and our students and staff have really risen to the occasion.  Our community is strong, or families at all of the schools are extremely strong, and we've had a great day together"

And even though the ribbons tied to the trees along the north side of the schoolyard were not a school project, Parobeck was happy to hear about them.

"It's an amazing testament to our community.  For our community to start doing these random acts of support, I look forward to going out and seeing them".
