The Humboldt and District Gallery has a new exhibit - and it has a lot of sole.

It’s a Shoe-In” features 30 pieces from 15 Sask Terra Group artists, all about shoes or the show’s titular phrase.

“They really took the theme and ran with it, and there are no two pieces that are even remotely similar and it’s a really fun, imaginative, really creative show,” cultural programmer Catherine Harrison said.

Her favourites include a shoe in the shape of a mermaid’s flipper and a boot that looks like it’s been sitting in a field, complete with a bird’s nest and barbed wire.

Harrison hopes visitors gain an appreciation of the ceramic art form and enjoy the imagination on display.

“It’s just a lot of fun, too. It’s a really fun show.”
