An artist out of Saskatoon of taught people 18 years and older how to make a bookwork.

On Saturday from 1-4 PM at the Humboldt & District Museum and Gallery, Shona Dietz taught citizens of Humboldt how to create a bookwork. A bookwork is a series of small sculpture works that create a whole work all together. Each item in the bookwork represents a chapter in a person's life.

Shona Deitz very own bookwork called "Ordinary Journey of Four" is currently on display at the gallery. Dietz shows her work in both Canada and the United States.

"It means everything to have artists like Shona come into the community, I mean it connects what you're seeing to an experience you can have as a patron of the gallery," said Catherine Harrison, Cultural Programmer with the Humboldt & District Museum.

"You can actually get to experience the art in a different way and you get to learn from the best."
