After a successful fundraising barbecue earlier in the summer, Humboldt District Community Services is looking to help their participants enjoy more time in the sun.

In June, the not-for-profit organization held their widely supported 16th annual barbecue at Civic Park. Teaming up with Scotiabank, a total of $1,642 was raised, with the bank matching that total to equal $3,284.

The barbecue is held in support of the summer program at HDCS, which allows their participants to take part in fun activities, including horseback riding, bowling, swimming and other day trips.

Looking to keep them busy each summer, another barbecue is being held Friday at the Humboldt Co-op.

Burgers and drinks will be served for a cost of $5 from 11:30am until 1:00pm.

The A&W bear stopped by for a visit.

Japanese Day included enjoying some delicious food.
